Forest mushroom patches in Quakjeswater and beyond
During a walk through the forest of Quakjeswater, I saw several mushroom patches scattered throughout the damp path. They were usually located on beds of fallen leaves next to a tree trunk. I cannot identify any by name but each was of a different size and color. I like the pattern the fanned gills on the underside of the cap creates.
On the ride home there was a lawn next to the sidewalk with strange "egg" looking shapes on it which turned out to be a mushroom patch as well. There were three stages happening at once. The bulb grows a stalk and later opens up its cap which withers and turns a silver color.
Unfortunately for me, no schtroumpfs (a.k.a. smurfs) in sight.
