Dead Bees and A Black Widow

I was taking a walk when I noticed a bunch of bees on the ground. I looked closer and noticed they were dead. So I looked around and thought a hive had been destroyed. Nothing. Then I looked up and there it was! Right above my head, maybe 10ft away from me! I ran away thinking the bees might attack me.


The black widow was in my front yard. I was so close to it trying to see the hour glass spot on its abdomen but it was busy wrapping up an insect in its web.
